RDAT (RC Labs Data Acquisition and Transfer) delivers a solution fortransmission of large amounts of data, up to 30 MB or more, over standardvoice-grade telephone lines. RDAT is easy to use under OpenWindows. Zeroerrors are tolerated because of the multiple error checking tests towhich the data is subjected. Transmission is fast because of softwaredata compression and the use of the Telebit Trailblazer modem in PEPmode. Typical throughput is approximately 700 KB per minute.Typical applications include: integrated circuit design, photomaskfabrication, I. C. ROM data, and other applications where zero errors andfast transmission are required. RDAT has been localized for use inTaiwan, Korea, Japan, and England.
